LANTRA Level 3 Certificate of Qualification in Aerial Tree Rescue Operations
Pre-requisites: None, however trainees must be physically fit and not suffering from vertigo or similar conditions or on medication that could affect your safety.
LANTRA Level 3 Award in Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw Using Free-fall Techniques
Pre-requisites: Candidates must hold a Certificate of Competence for Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-Cutting, Felling and Processing Small Trees up to 380mm, Access a Tree Using Rope & Harness and Aerial Rescue. Learners must be physically fit and not suffering from vertigo or similar conditions or on medication that could affect your safety.

Pre-requisites: Candidates must hold a Certificate of Competence for Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-Cutting Felling and Processing Small Trees up to 380mm, Tree Climbing & Rescue & Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw Using Free-fall Techniques prior to attending this course.
Pre-requisites: Candidates must hold –Certificate of Competence for use of a MEWP (IPAF/NPTC/LANTRA). You must hold a current certificate of competence to operate the type of MEWP that will be used during the course. Level 2 Award in Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-Cutting or Level 2 Award in Felling and Processing Small Trees up to 380mm. Although not a pre-requisites, Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw Using Free-fall Techniques for the one-day training. If not held, two-days training is recommended. Pre-requisites: None, however trainees for this course should have knowledge of modern arboriculture practice, particularly relating to tree climbing and rigging techniques and the associated equipment used in such operations. They will typically come from an arboriculture contracting background, but could also include those involved in associated roles provided they have the relevant knowledge and experience of arboriculture equipment and the circumstances in which it is commonly used.
