Climbing Kit Inspection
Whether you are an individual looking to have a kit inspected for the first time or a large organisation with many climbing kits, Land Skills are able to help you meet the main requirements of LOLER relating to the inspection of arboricultural climbing equipment.

Rigging Equipment
The LOLER regulations also apply to non-climbing equipment that lifts or lowers loads, such as rigging systems for lowering branches and includes, attachments used for anchoring, fixing or supporting it. For example: lowering blocks, pulleys, strops, karabiners and ropes. A thorough examination should be carried out by a competent person every 12 months on equipment that is not used for lifting people.

Equipment should be subject to a pre-use check by the user

A written recorded interim inspection should be kept for equipment subject to high levels of wear and tear.

A thorough examination should be carried out at least every six months by a competent person.

Equipment should be marked for unique identification.
