We recommend booking a refresher course every 5 years to keep keep your training up to date.

We offer a range of refresher training from chainsaws to pesticides. Please click the links below to read more about the refresher courses we offer. If you have four or more candidates please call/email us for group bookings.

Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross Cutting CPD

Duration: 1 Day

Pre- requisites: Candidates must hold a Certificate of Competence for Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-Cutting (CS30 / 0020-03 / 0039-20) prior to attending this refresher training.

Felling & Processing Trees up to 380mm City & Guilds CPD

Duration: 2 Days

Pre - requisites: Candidates must hold a Certificate of Competence for Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-Cutting (CS30 / 0020-03/ 0039-20) and Felling Trees up to 380mm (CS31 / 0020-04 / 0039-21) prior to attending this refresher training.

Access a Tree Using a Rope & Harness and Aerial Tree Rescue CPD

Pre- requisites: Candidates must hold a Certificate of Competence for Basic Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue (CS38 / 0020-13 / 0039-22) prior to attending this refresher training and have a good level of fitness.

Duration: 2 Days

Chainsaw from Rope & Harness CPD

Pre- requisites: Candidates must hold a Certificate of Competence for Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw using Free-Fall Techniques (CS39 / 0021-08 / 0039-23) prior to attending this course. Learners must be physically fit and not suffering from vertigo or similar conditions or on medication that could affect your safety.

Pre- requisites: Candidates must hold a Certificate of Competence for Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-Cutting (CS30 / 0020-03 / 0039-20) Felling Trees up to 380mm (CS31 / 0020-04 / 0039-21) Tree Climbing & Rescue (0020-13 / CS38 / 0039-22) Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw (0021-08 / CS39 / 0039-23) & Aerial Tree Rigging (0021-09 / CS41 / 0039-32) prior to attending this course.

Duration: 2 Days

Thorough Inspection of Arboriculture Lifting Equipment - LOLER (Lantra)

Pre - Requisites: Candidates must already hold a Certificate of Competence for Thorough Examination Of Arboricultural Equipment (XARB03) prior to attending this refresher training.

Pre - Requisites: Trainees must hold either a Lantra Awards Certificate of Training or City & Guilds Certificate of Competence for Brushcutters & Trimmers prior to attending this refresher training.

Refresher Safe Use & Application of Pesticides Using Hand Held Equipment (PA1 & PA6) (Lantra)

Pre - Requisites: Candidates must hold 0216-49 / PA1 Principles of Safe Handling & Application of Pesticides and 0216-54 / PA6 Safe Application of Pesticides Using Hand Held Equipment prior to attending this refresher training.

Duration: 3 days for occasional users
