Pesticides are very widely and successfully used in land-based industries but they can be harmful substances if not used appropriately and safely.  Training is therefore essential to ensure that they are handled, applied and stored correctly.

We now offer a 1-day training course which covers the following most-requested PA6 Units:

  • Pesticide Plugs (replaces PA6PP)
  • Hand Held Stem Injection (replaces PA6INJ)
  • Hand Held Applicators for Stump Treatment Applications (replaces PA6MC)

This course starts with all of the compulsory theory applicable to all three Units such as health and safety and legislation. Each Unit will then be taught in turn.

Please see below for details on the content of each Unit.

Pre-requisites: Candidates must hold a Certificate of Competence for Principles of Safe Handling & Application of Pesticides (PA1 / 0216-49) prior to attending this course.
