Land Skills: Step into Tree Surgery course is a 4-week training programme designed to provide hands-on, practical training in tree surgery, along with the essential theoretical knowledge needed to develop your skills and provide all of the qualifications you will need to begin your career as a certified Tree Surgeon.

- Recap Options: If you are unsuccessful in the Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue assessment, we offer the option of using the Aerial Tree Cutting training days to recap and improve your climbing skills.
- Who is it for: This course is perfect for beginners who want to build a strong foundation in tree surgery skills or for those who need the accredited qualifications.

NPTC 0039-23 Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Using a Chainsaw from a Rope and Harness
NPTC 0020-57 Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Safe Use of a Woodchipper
LANTRA Certificate of Competence in Basic Tree Survey & Inspection
Important information:
- Prerequisites: Passing the Chainsaw Maintenance & Crosscutting, Small Tree Felling & Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue are required before undertaking the Aerial Cutting training and assessment.
- Additional Practice & Deferring Assessment: Tree climbing is a skill that improves with practice, so candidates may choose to gain more experience before being assessed. You can continue to work in the industry and gain more climbing experience (with a qualified climber) before booking your climbing assessments.
